| New Diagnostics | ||||||||||
XJ Engineering is pleased to announce that is has installed the latest Jaguar Diagnostic equipment. This installation is basically a software product containing all the latest diagnostic programmes which are then updated about three times each year to ensure the diagnostic capability remains current. The equipment, which allows accurate fault diagnosis and recording of engine and brake data, offers the following important benefits to customers.
Probably, the most important advantage for customers will be the potential for cost saving as a consequence of less time spent finding faults and identifying problems. |

| Still Searching! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Customers will be aware that we have been searching the local area for alternative premises for some while now. The search goes on as we seek to provide our customers with improved facilities and ourselves with a larger and improved working space. Maybe you can help us. We are seeking new premises along the 'A31 Corridor' between Farnham and Ropley which meet the following criteria.
So far the search has failed to uncover a suitable venue but we will keep looking. When we finally find the ideal location you 'the customer' will be among the first to know. |

| WEB-Site News | ||
It is now three years since the XJ Engineering WEB-site was first published and during this time the site has received almost 10,000 visitors from all over the world. This represents a good level of traffic flow for what is after all a very specialised business. We hope you have taken the opportunity to visit the WEB-site and that you have benefited from the experience. The site has now become relatively well established and we plan to progressively improve it to make it more useful to customers - albeit in a conservative way of course. WEB-sites age rather quickly in today's dynamic market environment so it was decided to give the XJ Engineering site a "face lift" after its first year in cyberspace. Now, after two years, we feel the site is about right in the way it conveys our image. However, we reserve the right to continue improving it. For the convenience of customers there is now a direct E-mail link to XJ Engineering - info@xj-engineering.com. We hope you will find this new feature useful. The News page now also includes important motoring tips for Jaguar and Daimler owners, and owners of any other high performance car that relies on 4* petrol for that matter. We have added a few more tips in this latest update and hope you find them useful. We plan to continue publishing a series of regular tips aimed at people who really care about their cars. |

| Winter Car Care | ||
Winter conditions can be extremely damaging to paintwork and to other exposed areas of your car. In particular the salt used to treat roads during periods of snow, frost and ice is very corrosive and if left untreated can be the cause of long-term damage and much anguish. While we appreciate that it is not always easy to emerge from the warmth of indoors and give your car a clean during the winter it is a necessary task. You need to remove the build up of salt from the bodywork quickly and thoroughly if it is to continue to gleam when spring and summer finally arrive. However, is normal cleaning enough? We think not One of the best ways to ensure removal of the corrosive salt is to give your car a Jet Wash - and include the wheel arches to ensure the removal of any corrosive deposits in that vulnerable area. You do need to remove all the possible sources of corrosion. And, don't stop there. After the Jet Wash make sure you car is protected with a really good coat of wax polish. It is worth the effort and investment now will reward with future dividends. |

| Air Conditioning | ||
During the winter period air conditioning is usually left turned off - heat is the main issue in colder conditions so the heater gets plenty of exercise. Don't just forget about the air conditioning though it also needs regular exercise if it is to continue to function correctly. We advise that you periodically turn on your air conditioning to keep the gasses flowing efficiently and to ensure that it doesn't start to suffer from premature rigor mortis. Turn on your air conditioning regularly during the winter and you will improve its long term reliability and efficiency. |

| Care of Alloy Wheels | ||
Alloy wheels suffer in the same way as the paintwork and bodywork of your car and also from the additional corrosive effects caused by the build up of highly corrosive brake dust. Alloy wheels greatly enhance the appearance of a vehicle when in good condition but do the opposite when neglected and damaged by corrosion. So, give your alloy wheels the same treatment as that recommended for the paint work. This is especially important in winter. Make sure your alloy wheels are Jet Washed to remove both the build up of salt deposits and to remove corrosive brake dust. Then, just like the bodywork, make sure that you apply a good coat of wax polish. Make the effort and your alloy wheels will continue to please for a long time to come. |
